Our HR Service, although fairly established, offers lots of opportunity for somebody to make their own mark as we offer broader services and business support. Brief Summary of Purpose:
Responsible for entering, auditing, and providing basic reporting through the designated HRIS system. Serves as a first level responder to resolve employees’ benefits issues via phone and/or email. Ability to work in a fast paced environment supporting benefits and HRIS. Provides tier 1 support for employee systems issues within HRIS self-service, including Employee HRIS security access.
HRIS data entry, reporting
Performs data entry (new hires, terminations, COBRA, etc.) and ensures data integrity. Reviews payroll for accuracy.
Ensures adherence to system schedules.
Engages vendors concerning system problems and assists in resolving employee system issues.
Assists with user training.
Assist with self-service effort
Assists in providing system access.
Provides basic reporting assistance as required.
Assists with plan benefit changes annually (open enrollment)
Serves as a first responder for COBRA, FSA, HSA, Medical/Dental plans, Life and Disability plans, and 401(k)
Processes benefit changes within HRIS
Recommends process improvements/changes
Assists in the design and development of communication materials
COBRA Administration; process qualifying events
Benefit plan billing (Dental, Vision, Life and Disability)
Annual ET cash-out
Responds to manager and employee inquiries into the HR service center whether the inquiries be made in person, by phone or email.
Enables customers to use tools (iFallon and Dayforce) and creates processes where needed to help employees be self-sufficient with routine and standardized processes.
Using FAQs, iFallon, Dayforce and the University, improves processes so that data is easily identified and retrievable.
Provides employment verifications.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education/experience
3+ years of experience in Benefits.
HR data entry skills required. Light reporting experience preferred.
Ability to learn new systems.
Benefits knowledge required, inclusive of COBRA, FSA’s, life, disability, medical and dental plans (FMLA knowledge helpful).
