This role is based at the Worcester office of UltraBenefits, but some travel between States ( Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts etc.) will be required.

UB is based in Worcester, MA.
Develops and maintains strong and productive business relationships with brokers, with an emphasis on prospecting for self-funded groups with assigned block of firms.
Educates key constituents on UltraBenefits/GISC capabilities and effectively positions value of UltraBenefits/GISC solutions.
Positions products, rates, and stop loss and expanded product portfolios to increase sales and maximize revenue.
Develops and executes sales and growth strategy for products in assigned territory and book of business.
Assist in training activity as needed.
Represent UB/GISC at civic and business functions to promote UB/GISC image.
Collect information from prospective accounts to support collective intelligence.
Meet all product and selling skills training requirements.
Process receipt and prepare Requests- For-Proposals (RFP) to send to underwriting and stop loss vendors.
Perform routine operational tasks associated with evaluating an RFP (eg: disruption).
Client Facing: Support Account Managers during open enrollments. Be capable of independently conducting open enrollment presentations and effectively disposition of member issues.
Provide routine account service.
Help resolve routine problems (ie. Underwriting, reporting, billing, employer and member concerns, etc.) by working with the appropriate departments and the Account Manager to ensure resolution and adequate follow-up
- Four year college education, or equivalent, preferably in the field of Marketing.
License / Certifications:
- Life and Health Insurance Broker License or ability to obtain license within three (3) months of obtaining position.
Physical Requirements of Role:
- Physical health sufficient to meet the ergonomic standards and demands of the position.
5-8 years background in healthcare sales or group insurance sales with proven track record of success is required.
Existing relationships with brokers and consultants preferred.
Experience with self-funded & TPA (a must)
Excellent oral and written communication skills and ability to build credibility to gain the confidence of key brokers and consultants
Understanding of organizational dynamics of brokerage houses
Strong people skills with direct experience in successfully forging and managing strategic relationships
Strong analytical skills to interpret experience data and communicate solutions to customers
Self-starter and ability to operate independently
Ability to travel
